NBA新賽季熱身賽於今日開幕，離上個賽季奪冠的洛杉磯湖人只有一個多月的時間，讓許多主力球員在本場比賽輪休，不過最終洛杉磯湖人仍逆轉同城快艇拿到首勝。Talen Horton-Tucker得到19分和9個籃板，Kyle Kuzma得到18分和5次助攻，Montrezl Harrell面對老東家送出雙十，他們率隊靠著第四節攻勢確立勝局，最終湖人在主場以87-81戰勝洛杉磯快艇。

湖人隊的LeBron James、Anthony Davis、Marc Gasol、Kentavious Caldwell-Pope和Markieff Morris紛紛休戰，Dennis Schroder、Wesley Matthews和Montrezl Harrell三位新援亮相。快艇隊的PG和Leonard一同登場，新加盟的Batum和Ibaka都進入先發。開賽後兩隊就打得很膠著，剛剛續約的PG發力連取5分，Lou Williams也命中三分，首節還有5分鐘時快艇隊以14-12領先。Schroder、Harrell和Cook輪流得分讓湖人隊實現反超，Lou-Will和Zubac聯手4分，快艇隊以22-23落後。Cacok空接扣籃得手結束首節，湖人隊以25-22領先。

湖人隊的Horton-Tucker得到19分、9個籃板和4次助攻，Kuzma得到18分和5次助攻，Harrell得到13分和12個籃板，Schroder得到10分和4個籃板，Cacok得到8分和6個籃板。快艇隊的PG得到10分，Zubac得到4分和10個籃板，Leonard3投1中，得到3分、7個籃板和2次助攻。

Lakers’ Talen Horton-Tucker: Impresses in preseason opener

Horton-Tucker finished with 19 points (6-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and three steals across 37 minutes during Friday’s 87-81 win over the Clippers.

Horton-Tucker was one of three Lakers that surpassed the 30-minute mark in this game – with Montrezl Harrell and Kyle Kuzma being the others – and undoubtedly made an impact, pacing the team in scoring and finishing just one rebound shy off a double-double. He’s not expected to post anything close to these numbers once the regular season begins, but a strong showing in preseason might help Horton-Tucker in securing a role off the bench once the 2020-21 campaign begins.

Lakers players react to preseason debut of Talen Horton-Tucker

Talen Horton-Tucker shined in his preseason debut with the Los Angeles Lakers and received high praise from his teammates.

Horton-Tucker had 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals, as the Lakers defeated the Clippers in their preseason opener (81-87).

“He’s gonna be a great player. He’s young, but he has a (high) poise and maturity to his game. I expect big things in his future,” Kyle Kuzma said about Horton-Tucker, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet.

“That boy @Thortontucker is goin to be special!” Jared Dudley tweeted.

Horton-Tucker and the Lakers will face the Clippers again on Sunday.
